Rentoid fee guarantee

May 3, 2009 by

As we mentioned previously we have changed the rentoid payment system to the following method:

We now have an instant connection process. So when you rent an item there are 3 simple steps:

Step 1. You simply pay a 5% deposit (which is fully refundable if the rental falls through)

Step 2. You get the owners phone number and email on screen – immediately. You also get their details emailed to you.

Step 3. You then call the owner of the item and get renting.

All rentoid payments are now made via PayPal. Which means that we can take payment either via your credit card or via your PayPal account in the most secure environment available on the web.

If the rental agreement is canceled for any reason – we have a 100% guaranteed refund of your 5% deposit. No questions asked.

We call it the rentoid guarantee!

Old Tom Joad

April 7, 2009 by

The Ghost of old Tom Joad – is a great song originally done by Bruce Springsteen, and more recently by Rage Against the Machine. We love the lyrics at rentoid because the represent the struggle many people face. And without sounding like a bunch of wankers, we like to think we get out of bed each day because our business does a lot of good. Helping people make or save money, and we do our bit for the environment too.

So the lyrics are worth a read and some reflection.

Man walks along the railroad track
He’s Goin’ some place, there’s no turnin’ back
The Highway Patrol chopper comin’ up over the ridge
Man sleeps by a campfire under the bridge
The shelter line stretchin’ around the corner
Welcome to the New World Order
Families sleepin’ in their cars out in the Southwest
No job, no home, no peace, no rest, No Rest!

And The highway is alive tonight
Nobody’s foolin’ nobody as to where it goes
I’m sitting down here in the campfire light
Searchin’ for the Ghost of Tom Joad

He pulls his prayer book out of a sleepin’ bag
The preacher lights up a butt and takes a drag
He’s waitin’ for the time when the last shall be first and the first shall be last
In a cardboard box ‘neath the underpass
With a one way ticket to the promised land
With a hole in your belly and a gun in your hand
Lookin’ for a pillow of solid rock
Bathin’ in the cities’ aqueducts

And The highway is alive tonight
Nobody’s foolin’ nobody as to where it goes
I’m sittin’ down here in the campfire light
With the Ghost of old Tom Joad

Now Tom Said; “Ma, whenever ya see a cop beatin’ a guy
Wherever a hungry new born baby cries
Wherever there’s a fight against the blood and hatred in the air
Look for me ma’
I’ll be there
Wherever somebody’s strugglin’ for a place to stand
For a decent job or a helpin’ hand
Wherever somebody is strugglin’ to be free
Look in their eyes ma,
You’ll see me

And the highway is alive tonight
nobody’s foolin’ nobody as to where it goes
I’m sittin’ down here in the campfire light
With the Ghost of Tom Joad

New Quicker, Easier Rental Process

March 22, 2009 by

Here’s a video explaining the new easier and quicker rental process on http://www.rentoid.com

Instead of having to wait for an approval process, all rental details of the owner of the item are now given immediately. Both on screen and via email. Payment of a 5% deposit (100% guaranteed) is made to confirm the rental and the owners details are given. So you can call them immediately and get renting. All payments are now made via PayPal which is very secure. Payments on PayPal can be made with credit card, PayPal account or via your even your bank account. All of which occur in a secure secure environment.

The bottom line is that we now get connected with renters straight away, with zero waiting on http://www.rentoid.com which makes the site more much easier to use and speeds up the service dramatically.
